RVT offers a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery, Laser and Diseases. The fellow participates in both clinics and surgery with the members of RVT and will participate in 800-1000 surgical procedures in the two-year period of the fellowship covering the gamut of complicated vitreoretinal disorders. He also manages the monthly Houston retina fellow meeting, supervises medical student and resident rotators, and can participate in grand rounds and the various functions of the medical schools in Houston and the Houston Ophthalmological Society. Applicants must have completed the requirements for licensure in the state of Texas and obtain a license prior to beginning the fellowship. RVT accepts fellows each year for a two-year period.
