Retina & Vitreous of Texas' Response to Coronavirus

Exclamation Mark for Covid

UPDATE 7/29/21: RVT will maintain our mask requirements for all locations. We require guests to remain in their vehicle during the appointment unless the patient has a mobility impairment or other condition requiring assistance in the office. We will continue to follow CDC's recommendations for healthcare organizations to encourage the health and safety of our patients and staff. Many of our locations are in high transmission counties, the CDC recommends that even fully vaccinated individuals wear masks in indoor public areas in these counties. You can learn more about the CDC's updated guidelines here.

UPDATE 5/14/21: RVT will continue to maintain our mask requirements for all of our locations. While the CDC announced that it no longer recommends that fully vaccinated individuals wear masks or practice social distancing in most circumstances, these changes do not apply to healthcare organizations. We will continue to follow CDC's recommendations for healthcare organizations.

UPDATE 3/3/21: Retina & Vitreous of Texas will be maintaining our mask requirement, despite the dissolving of the Texas mask mandate. We also are continuing to ask the visitors remain limited with our patients. We are complying with the CDC's recommendation to ensure that all patients and staff remain safe during this time.

The health and safety of our patients and employees is of utmost importance to each member of the Retina and Vitreous of Texas team. To best protect, our patients, their families, and our staff, we have implemented the following:

EXCEPTIONS: If you need assistance walking or are in a wheelchair your guest will be allowed to remain with you through the duration of your appointment. If you are a parent or guardian accompanying a minor with an appointment you will be allowed to remain with your child through the duration of your appointment.
